WHAT IS IT? 

FXBG Hockey offers affordable, fun, and competitive adult roller hockey leagues for players in Fredericksburg and the surrounding communities. 

Our adult leagues are designed to provide opportunities for players of all experience and skill levels to stay active, compete, improve their game, and be part of a welcoming hockey community. 

We currently offer Spring (March–May) and Fall (September–November) adult roller hockey seasons. 

Each season typically includes: 

8 regular season games 

2 playoff games 

Weekly Sunday games at Dixon Park 

Games consisting of three (3) 15-minute periods 

A fun, social, and competitive hockey environment 


Games typically last about one hour

We currently offer three adult league options


Competitive Division 

Designed for players seeking a faster-paced, higher-intensity hockey experience. 

Skill Level: A–C 

Best suited for experienced and competitive players 

Faster gameplay and higher intensity competition 


Recreational Division 

A welcoming, laid-back division for players of varying skill levels. 

Skill Level: Beginner to experienced 

Ideal for newer players, returning players, or experienced players looking to stay active and knock off the rust

Focused on fun, fitness, skill development, and community 


Women’s League

Be part of a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment created to grow women’s roller hockey in Fredericksburg. This league is designed for: 

Beginner and novice players 

Women returning to hockey after time away 

Players looking to learn, develop skills, stay active, and be part of a positive hockey community 

Our goal is to continue growing women’s roller hockey while creating a fun and inclusive experience for players of all backgrounds and experience levels. 


WHO IS IT FOR? 

Our adult leagues are open to players 18+ of all experience and skill levels. Whether you are: 

A competitive player seeking strong competition 

A recreational player looking for fun and exercise 

Someone getting back into hockey after years away 

Completely new to the game and wanting to learn in a welcoming environment 

There is a place for you at FXBG Hockey.


CURRENT SEASON – FALL 2026 

The Fall Adult Roller Hockey Season begins September 13, 2026. 

Women’s League Player Evaluation / Scrimmage 

To help create balanced teams, all women’s league players will participate in a: 

Saturday, September 5th (Later afternoon/evening time — details coming soon)

 

Save the Date – Draft Social Event! September 11th or 12th (Final Date Coming Soon) 

Strangeways Brewing 

Join us for the official FXBG Adult League Draft Social Event before the season begins. Meet fellow players, connect with teammates, and get excited for the season ahead. More details coming soon! 


WHERE IS IT? 

All adult league games are played at the Dixon Park Roller Hockey Rink in Fredericksburg, Virginia. 


WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED? 

All players are required to have: 

Helmet 

Roller hockey skates 

Hockey stick 

Gloves 

Elbow pads 

Knee/shin guards 


We also strongly recommend: 

Girdle pants / padded compression pants 

Athletic cup 

Mouthguard

AAU MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED 

All players must be registered with AAU Hockey for insurance purposes. 

The AAU membership year runs from September 1 – August 31. 

During registration, if you do not currently have a membership number for the upcoming year, please enter: 

“N/A” 

Then simply register for the new membership beginning September 1st.

WANT TO GET INVOLVED? 

FXBG Hockey is powered by volunteers, and we are always looking for adults interested in helping grow the game and support our hockey community. 

Ways to get involved include: 

Coaching youth players 

Assisting with learn-to-play classes 

Helping with league operations and scorekeeping 

Supporting tournaments, events, and community outreach 

Assisting with equipment and player development
