WELCOME TO FXBG YOUTH ROLLER HOCKEY

WHAT IS IT: FYRH offers low-cost, co-ed roller hockey programming to the community of Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas. We currently provide a Fall season (September-November) and a Spring season ( March-May) for our house roller hockey leagues. The players are divided up by age groups (8U, 10U, 13U, & 18U), and teams are constructed to be balanced and competitive. Each season consists of 8 regular season games and at least one playoff game. All players will receive a jersey that they can keep and an end-of-season award. 

WHO ITS FOR: We accept players of all experience and skill levels between 6-18. We also offer leagues for adult hockey which can be found here.

WHEN IS IT: Youth hockey games are played on Saturday mornings beginning at 8 AM. They last about an hour per game. Each team will play one game a week. Practices are scheduled between the coaches and parents and usually occur on weekdays in the afternoon or evening. 

WHERE IS IT: All games are played at the Dixon Park hockey rink.

WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED: Each player will require skates, an HECC-approved helmet with a face shield, gloves, shin guards, elbow pads, a stick, and a water source. Athletic cups/ girdles and mouth gaurds are strongly encouraged. If you or your child would like to play but don't have the equipment, we can help you with that too. Contact us via email hockey@fyrhl.org and we will set you up with the necessary equipment at no charge. 

HOW MUCH IS IT: Our current rate for a roller hockey season is $120.00. We also have volunteer opportunities available that can result in significant discounts on league fees. Please get in touch with us if you need some assistance with league fees, and we will do everything we can to help you.
